We know that the more money we help our clients save, the happier they will be. Which is why we wanted to share with you another example of how upgrading your building skilfully can save you an enormous amount of money.

The building consists 34 lots (30 apartments and 4 shops) in inner Sydney, built in 2002. As their interiors needed upgrading, they took the opportunity to upgrade to energy efficient lighting.

We engaged Energy Smart Strata to assess the current energy usage and to give suggestions. The executive committee along with one of our strata managers then obtained several quotes and looked at many different solutions. As a result Lighting Technologies was engaged to upgrade all lighting in the common areas, fire stairs, and garage. They have the best range of sensor lighting with emergency and non-emergency options. The lighting upgrade happened in two stages: July and November.

Their consumption dropped dramatically after each installation stage. It resulted in a 42% drop in consumption and a payback period on their initial costs of approximately 3.5 years. These figures have been confirmed by Energy Smart Strata. The chosen solution looks great, the sensor feature has increased security, the costs and greenhouse emissions are down. The owners in the strata plan couldn’t be happier with the results.
