Are you deliberating over buying in a strata property in Sydney’s upper north shore? As it turns out, this could just be one of the city’s best spots for living in a townhouse or unit. Let’s take a closer look at the lifestyle benefits of areas like Killara, Waitara, Lindfield, Berowra, Asquith, Roseville, Hornsby, Pymble and Turramurra.

First and foremost for many potential upper north shore investors is the consideration of public transport. In this area you’ll have the benefit of the North Shore rail line which connects you to the central Sydney CBD and North Sydney CBD with convenient regularity, as well as access to the buses and ferry routes of the north shore. Parking is relatively easy to find here, and congestion is relatively low. You’ll also be close to the M1 and M2 freeways, which will easily take you to the Central Coast and South Coast respectively.

The upper north shore has long been a hotspot for quality schools. This draws in many Sydney families so they can live close to options like Knox Grammar, Pymble Ladies’ College and Roseville College.

Streets of elegant established houses combined with the newer higher density living near train lines means there is plenty of space for everyone. Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is just minutes away if you feel like a bushwalk and there are sweeping parks and modern playgrounds throughout the area. Bobbin Head picnic area is a great spot for a weekend getaway that’s close to home.

When it comes to café culture and weekend entertainment, you’ll also have plenty of options on the upper north shore. Take your pick from cheap eats, fine dining and quirky cafés that continue to pop up in Turramurra, St Ives and Wahroonga. There are Westfield centres in Hornsby and nearby Chatswood to meet many of your shopping needs. Plus, if you like strolling on a sunny morning, it’s well worth exploring the Northside Produce Markets, Chatswood Mall Markets, Kirribilli General Markets, Kirribilli Art Design & Fashion Markets and the Wahroonga Markets.

The upper north shore is a natural, spacious and safe area to live, and it’s easy to see why so many families are making the move here. If you have found a desirable apartment or townhouse on the upper north shore that’s managed by a professional strata manager such as Jamesons Strata Management in Hornsby, you could be looking at a great opportunity.
